As a pivotal role in the Technology & Data organization, reporting to the IT Make Global Manufacturing Platforms Lead, this role will be responsible supporting and driving at regional level the vision and strategic objectives for the Global Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) product line. This role will have a deep understanding of manufacturing across our supply chain, own value delivery end-to-end, and value realization for MES products, working closely as a strategic partner with technology and business leadership teams. As a Business Analyst, this role will develop a culture of value delivery and continuous improvement while ensuring a connected and cohesive global strategy across our MES products.
As a problem solver, technologist, and expert in manufacturing operations and digital MES products, this role will empower our Supply Chain partners and technology leaders through the delivery of products and platforms that create differentiated digital capabilities and maximize performance, quality, compliance, and transparency of our manufacturing operations.
As a driver of change and innovation, this role will have the unique opportunity to help shape MES investments with technology and business leaders, enable the digital transformation of our manufacturing systems, and support the continuous introduction of digital MES products and platforms as a true partner with the business, strengthening our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with production, engineering, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into MES system specifications.
·Design, configure, and implement MES solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and improve operational efficiency.
·Customize MES software modules to meet specific business needs and integrate with existing systems (e.g., ERP, SCADA).
·Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure the stability and reliability of the MES platform.
·Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system configuration guides.
·Provide training and support to end-users on MES system functionality and best practices.
·Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to maximize system effectiveness.
·Stay current with industry trends and advancements in MES technology to recommend innovative solutions for process optimization.
·Support a cross-product roadmap for global MES Products
·Support release planning, inform the product backlog, and resolve dependencies and resource collisions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
·Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in MES implementation and support within a manufacturing environment.
·Proficiency in MES software platforms such as Traksys, PASx, Rockwell Software FactoryTalk ProductionCentre, or similar systems.
·Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including production scheduling, quality management, and inventory control.
·Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and data integration techniques.
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
·Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
·Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Certification in MES software platforms.
·Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
·Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) related to manufacturing operations.
·Familiarity with industrial automation technologies, such as PLCs and SCADA systems.
·Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira) for coordinating MES implementation projects.
·Ability to be hands on with MES configuration and development of modern MES platforms.
·Proven Experience and deep understanding of modern process and data integration eco-systems with ERPs, LIMS and SCADA/automation systems.
·Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment within pharma and/or consumer product industry
·Professional certifications preferred but not required: Agile (SAFe, PMI, etc.)
