Overview
Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions division is looking for a Test Engineer, Agriculture to lead the testing of hardware and software for our Agriculture products in the spaces of GNSS, GPS, Inertial Navigation Systems, Vehicle Navigation, Tractor Steering and Guidance, Precision Agriculture, Sensor Fusion and Camera based navigation. Reporting to the Agriculture Test Engineering Manager, you will be an individual contributor responsible for executing software and systems test practices while maintaining and expanding the Test Infrastructure depended on by the engineering groups. This role offers the chance to deliver step changes and utilize modern technologies and practices.
The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This is a hybrid position based in Florianópolis, Brazil.
Responsibilities
As a Agriculture Test Engineer, your responsibilities include:
1. Design and implement both automated and manual software testing suites for Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning ‘s agriculture products
2. Promote and lead our best practices across software and systems testing
3. Define, develop, and carry out test processes and tools
4. Test all software delivered as per defined test schedules and processes including documentation
5. Participate and contribute to Hexagon A&P’s test engineering community of practice
6. Develop, iterate, monitor, and report performance and contextual metrics
7. Create data characterization models using statistics, mathematics, and data analytics. Participate and provide contribution to Hexagon A&P’s Test Engineering Community of Practice
Qualifications
Must-Have:
8. 3+ years' experience in software test design and execution or software development with a large proportion of testing
Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
9. Proficiency in Python programming and scripting tools
10. Experience in GNSS technology and products.
11. Experience working with source control repositories like GitLab or GitHub
12. Experience with test automation and/or worked within a formal software testing environment
13. Excellent analytical skills and be able to produce high-quality test reports, procedures, and other similar documentation
14. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (English) to communicate at all levels
15. Valid driver’s license and vehicle
Nice-to-Have:
16. 10+ years' experience in software test design and execution or software development with a large proportion of testing
17. Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics.
18. Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
19. Understanding of data storage and database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL.
20. Experience with data analytics or BI tool to process and visualize complex product performance datasets
21. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
22. Experience of web-based bug tracking and project software (. JIRA)
23. Previous agriculture/farm experience
24. Experience with Systems Engineering, V-model or ASPICE
