**ABS Apprentice**
The ABS Apprentice provides administrative support to the assigned department as needed.
**What You Will Do**:
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and maintain updated Department files
- Request and order office supplies
- Prepare reports for the supervisor as requested.
- Customer service for employees.
**What You Will Need**:
Education and Experience
- High School - completed or studying.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic knowledge and software skills in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent client service skills with an upbeat attitude.
- Excellent writing skills and use of creative message design principles (i.e., use of language, grammar, spelling, and organizing content) to achieve desired outcomes.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Must be punctual at work and all required meetings.
- Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management Systems.
**Reporting Relationships**:
The incumbent reports to the Manager within each area.
This position does not have any direct reports.
**Working Conditions**:
The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while concentrating on a computer screen.
The team member may assist with various tasks, including filing, talking, and may have to lift between 5 - 15 pounds on occasion.
