Do you have experience as Correspondent?
Are you passionate about the whole news world?
Do you want to be part of the most important News Leader around the world?
If yes, we are looking for you.
Reuters is looking for an energetic journalist to join our team in Brazil.
**About the role**:
We are seeking a talented reporter for our Rio de Janeiro bureau to cover the Brazilian energy industry at a time of dramatic change.
Brazil has drawn big bets from global oil majors eyeing its vast offshore oil reserves, but will also be key to the global energy transition - as a longtime pioneer in biofuels, powerhouse in wind/hydro/solar power and home to promising green hydrogen projects.
New President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has vowed to overhaul state oil firm Petrobras, reinvesting recent bumper profits in renewable energies, refining capacity and regional development.
Investors remain skeptical of his vision, however, and wary after a record-breaking corruption scandal exploded at Petrobras under the last Workers Party government.
You will need excellent team skills to collaborate with energy reporters worldwide, delivering regional and global stories.
We are also seeking a dynamic journalist with the energy and ability to contribute to the range of general news stories in Latin America's most flamboyant city, from its legendary Carnival celebrations to the organized crime plaguing its sprawling suburbs.
**About You**
You're a fit for the role of Brazil Energy Correspondent, if your background includes:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Written and spoken fluency in English
- Fluency in languages other than English
