Salesworx is proud to work in collaboration with our client who represents a variety of manufacturers who specialise in print consumables for the graphics industry. Their products are imported and distributed throughout SA and Southern Africa. Products are suitable for a wide range of industries, including gravure, flexography, lithography, corrugated, label, silkscreen printing, textile, non-woven, extrusion, paper mills and plastic operations. We are on the hunt for an experienced Sales Manager with relevant industry experience. The Branch Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the overall sales performance and daily operations of the branch.
The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing the branch team, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Branch Sales Manager will report directly to the National Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Sales
1. Achieve branch targeted sales goals.
2. Conduct market research to identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
3. Encourage sales representatives to increase sales and bring in new business through planning strategies.
4. Conduct weekly sales meetings with the team to review sales, discuss problem customers, unpaid accounts, new clients, and new products sold.
5. Provide ongoing knowledge training to the sales team.
6. Conduct monthly one-on-one consultations with sales reps to review progress, address problems, and develop new sales strategies.
7. Using BI continuously to review sales and implement action plans.

1. Provide effective leadership to the sales team, including guiding, inspiring, and supporting them to achieve their goals.

9. Branch administration and management

6. Induct new employees and facilitate training development.
7. Accompany sales reps on customer visits to offer technical and sales support.
8. Oversee inter-branch orders and shipments.
9. Check customer age analysis and assist with problematic accounts.
10. Report financial variances and issues to the Financial Department.
11. Ensure effective delivery logistics and address any issues.
12. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance.
13. Ensure all vehicles are maintained and have a servicing plan.
14. Recruit new staff as required.
10. Stock Management
1. Manage Import stock with Import/Export Manager.
2. Liaise with the internal Storeman.
3. Liaise and control deliveries on a daily basis.
4. Investigate delivery notes with the administrator and sales team.
5. Investigate issues of incorrectly issued invoices and rectify these issues immediately.
6. Conduct monthly stock takes with the sales team and internal Storeman; complete a variance report, and submit it to Kevin for necessary adjustments and sign-off.
7. Ensure manufactured stock is invoiced by the reps and sent out to customers promptly.
8. Continuously review dead stock and when applicable, request removal from the system.
9. Maintain a paper trail for every stock item that leaves the premises.
10. Ensure adequate stock levels to supply to customers.
11. Implement rotation of stock, moving older stock first.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
1. At least 5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or related fields.
2. Previous experience in a management position is preferred.
3. Experience in sales administration is preferred.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
