**Job Title**
Tax Advisor Latam
The Latin American Tax Director will handle all aspects of direct and indirect tax for Fiserv's affiliates in the region.
This will include regional oversight of tax returns, the quarterly / annual global tax provision process, withholding tax matters and indirect tax.
You will join a global in-house tax team, manage the Company's Latin American tax team in Argentina and Brazil, and be involved in a wide variety of projects around compliance, tax provisioning, group restructures, financing and process improvement.
You will report to the Vice President of Global Tax Planning based in the U.S.
Your role will focus on the following key activities:
- Coordinate and ensure that all tax related matters are accounted for and correctly reported for U.S. and foreign (non-U.S.) financial and statutory reporting purposes.
- Review of corporate tax returns prepared by external advisers
- Provide support on M&A projects, transactions and planning initiatives as required
- Provide practical and timely advice to Latin American business colleagues on direct and indirect tax impact of specific business transactions e.g.
new client contracts, new products and services
- Assist with management of tax audits around Latin America, including liaising with local advisers as required,
- Monitor tax law changes around Latin America and assess impact on tax provision and the business
- Assist in the review of and implementation of tax processes to increase efficiency
- Assist in strategic initiatives working as part of a cross functional team
- Responsible for indirect tax processes
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- BS equivalent degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting and/or related field.
- 10 years of tax experience - preferably in Big 4 Accounting Firm or U.S. based multi-national corporation.
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Firm grasp of U.S. tax accounting concepts and financial reporting implications.
- Ability to coordinate and manage interactions with local and regional Accounting, Finance and Treasury teams as well as the Corporate Tax function in the U.S.
- Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish, English and Portuguese a plus.
