The Infrastructure (desktop) Engineering team based is primarily responsible for the maintenance and engineering of the firm's global desktop and VDI environment, along with various on premise and cloud based end user services.
Responsibilities:
• Software Packaging & rollout, with required Support documentation & knowledge transfer
• Development, configuration & support of On-premise and Cloud based End User Services (e.g Microsoft 365)
o Including application, endpoint and mobile device management
• Provide escalated support & troubleshooting of VMWare Horizon VDI environment
• Active Directory & Entra ID configuration, maintenance & administration
• Provide 3rd line support for the Desktop environment, applications and hardware
• Vulnerability & Software update management for Microsoft & 3rd party applications, OS & hardware
• Manage, monitor & maintain file transfer services for internal & External clients
• Desktop environment lifecycle development & automation
• Proactive performance & reliability analysis, leading to continuous improvement of the Desktop environment
• Collaborate with Internal & External Customers/Vendors to pro-actively obtain information regarding applications for packaging, problem solving or escalation.
Mandatory Skills Description:
• Packaging experience with MECM/Intune
• Experience and strong knowledge of Linux
• PowerShell scripting
• Advanced VDI Administration & Troubleshooting
• Advanced Active directory administration including GPO, Intune
• Good understanding of control principles - Release, Change Management, etc
• Used to working to best practice methodologies such as ITIL
• Microsoft Office Suite 2016/365.
• Market data applications.
• Excellent understanding of build and client distribution architectures (MECM)
