About the Role
In this opportunity as a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
* Deliver end-to-end technical solutions for multiple products or complex projects in the Customer Data Platform and Boomi integration tool.
* Lead routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
* May manage budgets for small projects or programs.
* Solve complex problems with minimal guidance.
* You will influence and collaborate with Immediate QA/Software Development Engineer team, Cross-functional teams to execute projects. Train and mentor more junior colleagues. Influence and articulate compelling software solutions for customers and products. Explain difficult concepts and influence others to adopt a point of view for ideas and initiatives.
* You will design, develop, and test software systems and/or applications for enhancements and new products. Write code according to coding specifications established for software solutions. Deliver software features with exceptional quality, meeting designated release plans and delivery commitments. Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
* You will provide input to department objectives and goals of a sub-Business Unit or function. Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with customers. Demonstrate mastery of a specific discipline across a range of related issues. Anticipate and interpret customer needs to identify solutions. Interact and negotiate effectively with internal or external customers.
* You will support and develop software engineers by providing advice, mentoring, training, coaching, and educational opportunities. Lead routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Provide subject matter expertise across sub-units. Collaborate with other designers and engineers. Break down customer requirements into work for the team to execute on. Ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
Technical Skills required:
* Customer Data Platform Expertise - Hands-on experience with Marketing’s Customer Data Platform (CDP), data ingestion pipelines, and query execution.
* Marketing & Customer Data - Understanding of first-party data, customer segmentation, and analytics used by marketing and business teams.
* SQL & Data Querying - Strong SQL skills for querying data from Treasure Data’s environment.
* Data Engineering - Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data ingestion from multiple sources (APIs, batch uploads, real-time streaming).
* Cloud & Big Data Technologies - Familiarity with cloud-based data processing (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and distributed computing frameworks.
* Programming Skills - Experience with Python, Java, or Ruby for scripting and automation.
* Integration Knowledge - Ability to integrate Customer Data Platform with marketing platforms (Salesforce, Google Analytics, Adobe, etc.).
* Security & Compliance - Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and role-based access controls.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Data Engineer if your background includes:
* 5+ years of experience as Data and Software Development.
* Experience developing and integrating data in a Customer Data Platform.
* Experience in Treasure Data CDP, Cloud & Big Data Technologies, Programming skills, Marketing & Customer Data, Security & Compliance.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field OR equivalent experience.
* Experience with integrating data via Middleware software such as Boomi and Informatica.
* Experience in working in agile methodologies.
