The role requires proficiency in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and/or Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), with a Level 2 certification in both.Key Responsibilities• Conduct Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on landing gear components to detect surface and subsurface defects.• Interpret and evaluate inspection results to determine the acceptance or rejection of parts based on specifications, standards, and customer requirements.• Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports, including findings, photographs, and recommendations for further actions.• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment to ensure it is operating correctly.• Work closely with engineers, technicians, and the quality assurance team to assess defects, propose corrective actions, and ensure compliance with all aerospace standards.• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to NDT procedures (e.g., AMS, ASTM, FAA).• Assist in the development and implementation of NDT procedures and work instructions.• Ensure that all inspections are performed in compliance with safety procedures and company policies.• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.• For senior level salary: plan inspection daily routines to meet turnaround time expectations; documents revision and compliance, routine instrument calibration and follow up.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience in performing NDT inspections, specifically within the aerospace MRO industry.Hands-on experience with MPI and FPI methods, with proven expertise in aeronautical components.Previous experience working in a landing gear MRO environment is highly desirableMPI and FPI level 2 certification and minimum 2 years of aviation industry experience required.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in landing gear maintenance or aviation technology preferred.Strong understanding of NDT principles, techniques, and equipment.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.Knowledge of relevant aerospace industry codes, standards, and regulations.Ability to work in various physical conditions, including standing for long periods and handling heavy landing gear components.Experience in other NDT methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or Eddy Current Inspection (ECI) is desirable but not mandatory.Familiarity with aerospace repair manuals, service bulletins, and technical orders.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify potential defects.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate clear inspection reports.Work detailsRio de Janeiro - Galeão (GIG área industrial)100% work inside production shopCLT full time contractVA/VR/VTLife insuranceFree parking & company van to facility
