The Role
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of approximately 10 engineers. This is a key leadership position that blends people management, Agile delivery oversight, and hands-on engineering guidance. You will play a central role in driving the successful delivery of product features, enhancing engineering velocity, evolving secure software development practices, and fostering a healthy, collaborative team culture. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping teams thrive.
Your responsibilities will focus on three key areas: People, Process, and Technology.
Key Responsibilities
People: Team Leadership & Development
* Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, and clear career development paths
* Foster a strong, collaborative team culture focused on trust, feedback, and ownership
* Support hiring and onboarding to grow a high-performing team aligned with company values
Process: Agile Delivery & Secure SDLC
* Own and evolve Agile practices to improve planning, execution, and iterative delivery
* Partner with Product and QA to prioritize work and deliver features that meet security, quality, and timeline goals
* Implement and champion SSDLC practices to embed security throughout the development lifecycle
* Track progress using modern project management tools and communicate status clearly to stakeholders
Technology: Quality, Velocity & DevOps
* Ensure code quality and maintainability through standards, code reviews, and automated testing
* Identify and address delivery bottlenecks to increase engineering velocity and reduce tech debt
* Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipeline optimization and infrastructure health
* Guide secure, scalable architectural decisions across the platform
Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong understanding of Agile development practices, modern software architecture, and secure coding principles. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and managing teams in a product-focused environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. Background in cybersecurity or secure software development is a plus.
