You will be part of McKinsey’s Ethics and Compliance function, whose mission is to enable McKinsey’s client impact and innovation, while managing risks to the firm, our clients, and our people. The Ethics and Compliance function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of the firm.
This role reports to the Associate Director of Anti-Corruption Compliance and will be preferably based in one of our southeast Asia locations.
You will work as part of the firm's Anti-Corruption Compliance team that advises McKinsey's colleagues on how the firm can best serve its clients and conduct thought leadership while managing any associated corruption risks.
You will advise colleagues on how to manage potential corruption risks, guided by firm policies. You will partner with various firm functions to advise colleagues and perform Anti-Corruption Compliance processes to mitigate corruption risks and provide guidance on multi-faceted issues.
You will contribute to Anti-Corruption related training and awareness efforts and be involved in global initiatives, such as expenditure reviews, and third-party due diligence.
You will also be responsible for managing workstreams within Anti-Corruption compliance, which may include charitable donations and charitable sponsorships. You will also position yourself as a point of contact for colleagues in your region for questions and concerns. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to proactively identify new or emerging risks, assess their controls, and develop mitigation approaches.
* University degree and excellent academic record required, advanced degree preferred
* 7+ years of professional experience in compliance or risk management in large multinational companies; 4+ years of relevant experience in Anti-Corruption Compliance preferred
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Clear and effective communicator with ability to tailor messaging based on audience and communicate complex ideas effectively
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English as well as the local office language
* Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, exceptional integrity, and distinctive interpersonal and collaborative skills
* Ability to work across all levels of seniority, cultivating trust-based, peer-counselor relationships and quickly establishing credibility
