As a key player in the LATAM region, EDGE is committed to providing cutting-edge capabilities and world-class solutions to meet our clients' evolving needs.Strategic Responsibilities:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior defense stakeholders in Brazil, ensuring visibility on current and future defense industrial needs.Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape, providing actionable insights and recommendations.Actively identify new business development opportunities and propose them to management and leadership, including:Expanding into new accounts in Brazil and the broader LATAM region;Facilitating opportunities with third parties for enhanced capability and market access;Identifying M&A prospects in alignment with EDGE strategy and priorities;Exploring potential partnerships and joint ventures (JVs).Identify new business opportunities that align with strategic goals set by leadership, including new clients within existing markets and entry into new markets.Serve as the lead point of contact for key accounts, fostering strong, long-term relationships and driving new business within these accounts.Oversee the full lifecycle of project and contract pipelines, from opportunity identification and negotiation to due diligence, deal closure, and ongoing post-deal relationship management.Operational Responsibilities:Ensure timely and accurate cataloging of business development opportunities, deals in progress, and secured deals to maintain transparency and visibility across the deal flow and client relationships.Provide guidance and develop actionable plans for business development (where applicable).Facilitate the identification, screening, assignment, and closure of RFPs for potential contracts.Assist with navigating the legal and regulatory frameworks of foreign countries related to deal negotiations and contract bidding.Represent the company at local and international defense networking events to enhance visibility and establish strategic connections.Education & Qualifications:Master’s degree in Public Policy, Government/Public Administration, International Relations, International Business, or a related field.PhD is considered as a strong advantage.Proficiency in both English and Portuguese (fluent level).Experience required:Over 10 years of experience in government relations and/or business development, ideally with a focus on the defense, intelligence, security sector, and innovation technologies, including related procurement processes.Familiarity with regional government and military organizations is a plus.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionBusiness Development and Strategy/PlanningIndustriesDefense and Space Manufacturing
