About the role This is a 100% remote position for people located in Brazil We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to join us as a Tax Analyst (Mid level), with a focus on operations involving goods and solid experience in indirect taxes, especially ICMS .
This role is responsible for ensuring the correct fulfillment of ancillary obligations, such as SPED Fiscal, GIA, and other state declarations, as well as supporting the analysis and validation of ICMS and ICMS-ST calculations .
The professional will actively collaborate with internal departments and external tax authorities, contributing to tax burden optimization and risk mitigation, ensuring full compliance with current legislation.
What you will be doing: Tax Compliance: Support and execute tax compliance processes, including the preparation and submission of ancillary obligations related to indirect taxes (ICMS, ICMS-ST, etc.).
Tax Calculation & Reporting: Ensure accurate calculation and timely submission of tax returns (EFD Contribuições, EFD ICMS/IPI, DAPI, and GIA ST).
Legislation Monitoring: Track changes in state and federal tax laws, assess their impact, and report potential risks or opportunities.
Audit Support: Assist in tax audits by providing necessary information and documentation to auditors and tax authorities.
Tax Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of tax strategies, ensuring the proper application of ICMS and ICMS-ST to optimize the tax burden.
Internal Advisory: Provide tax guidance to different departments, especially regarding operations involving goods circulation and indirect tax withholding.
Account Reconciliation: Perform tax account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial records.
Invoice Validation: Oversee the registration of incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring correct taxation and compliance.
ERP Configuration: Manage the setup of tax operation types (TOP) in the ERP Sankhya, ensuring fiscal operations are correctly configured and compliant with current legislation.
What you ´ll need to succeed in this role: Extensive experience in monthly closing reports and reconciliations.
Advanced Excel skills and ERP knowledge (experience with ERP Sankhya is a plus).
Experience in audit and compliance support.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with a diplomatic approach.
Analytical, committed, and collaborative mindset, with a sense of ownership, dynamic attitude, and strong teamwork skills.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
