Purpose / Role Mission
To manage corporate communications and PR initiatives in order to support the growth of Pfizer´s business in Brazil and preserve and strengthen Pfizer´s reputation.
Key Responsibilities include:
Manage and coordinate Pfizer´s positioning before a variety of interested parties, including media, journalists, and NGOs, when applicable, to obtain license to operate and increase business opportunities.
Influence external environment from a communications perspective by creating and strengthening relationships with media and specialized journalists in order to achieve business goals.
Support and enable Corporate and Therapeutic Areas Initiatives in a variety of channels in order to advance external agenda of critical topics related to Pfizer’s reputation and business.
Main Functional Responsibilities:
Lead corporate communications: define the communications strategy and implement the corporate communications plan.
Participate actively in Chambers, Industry Associations, and Working Committees to align their activities and initiatives with Pfizer´s interests.
Build strong internal networks to understand commercial needs and goals in order to align Pfizer´s external initiatives.
Manage special events such as sponsorships, partnerships, or other activities Pfizer supports to gain public attention.
Provide support to all departments across the organization in their communications efforts to ensure external visibility of key activities and programs.
Help shape public audience perceptions, crystallize public opinions, and communicate strategic messages to key individuals to create an appropriate voice of influence.
Design and implement communications strategies, developing Pfizer Brazil´s storytelling to convey positive stories about the sector, the company, its products (when possible), and the therapeutic areas in which the company is interested.
Build and manage trusted relationships with journalists to ensure visibility of Pfizer’s activities and promote its institutional image and corporate reputation.
Promote Pfizer´s institutional image and corporate reputation.
Develop press releases, talking points, Q&A, and standby statements to ensure Pfizer´s message and positions are understood by public opinion or other stakeholders.
Provide strategic assessment in crisis and issues management and act as spokesperson before the media in coordination with other Senior Executives.
Answer requirements from media and manage the relationship with journalists to identify opportunities to promote Pfizer´s institutional image, its activities in the country, medicines, and the diseases treated by these drugs.
Conduct media monitoring to anticipate and mitigate risks.
Coordinate media training for external spokespersons to improve performance and define Pfizer´s position.
Develop and oversee institutional brochures, presentations, videos, and other corporate communications pieces.
Manage budget for the area and coordinate efforts with BU leads and departments.

Work Location Assignment: On-site 2-3x/week or as needed by the business.
