This unit was recently created to support the Data Driven journey of all areas of Volvo Trucks such as Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Services, Finance, S&OP, etc.In this position, you will use Data Science to predict customer behavior, improve forecast accuracy, sales and operation plans, enable new services and business through data.What you will doYou will be part of the BI & Advanced Analytics team. Your creative thinking and problem-solving skills will contribute to solving some complex challenges in the areas of data mining and optimization. You will be actively finding new ways to decrease costs, increase revenues, improve accuracy of our forecasts and production plans, and improve Uptime for our customers.You will be responsible for:All steps of an analytics assignment, from data & business value exploration, data structuring, modeling, problem solving & recommendation. You will be able to deliver all steps independently, but also work closely in projects together with colleagues in Europe, USA & Brazil.Develop complex models and algorithms that inspire innovation and performance throughout the organization. Conduct advanced analytics to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and measure performance.Create value-added intelligence from the operational point of view taking advantage of VPS tools and mindset to help diagnose performance shifts from sales & service organization.Generation and sharing of findings and standardized reports connected to strategic and operational objectives.You will contribute with technical insight to the strategy & roadmap for the analytics area.Networking, relationship building and collaborating with our user groups and stakeholders, to assure we are on top of their challenges and are solving the most needed requirements first.Who are you?You are a person with a passion for Analytic and Data Science. You are a team player with eagerness to try and develop through collaboration, co-operation, and sharing insights, solutions, and ideas.
