The Aratu Chlor-Alkali is in the process of transitioning the cell technology to a new diaphragm type.
Significant focus will be laid on the successful transition of the technology.
You will be part of this implementation team.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Understanding of the production process, the process equipment, and the process control system (MOD V program) and is the expert for this technology in the team.
- Providing plant data for global gap analysis and identification of plant-level improvement opportunities (from plant, business, and technology resources).
- Identifying opportunities and prioritize from a plant perspective.
- Validates improvement opportunities and leads in building the Plant Specific Technology Plan.
- Achieving incremental and significant improvements in the chemical processes of the plant by ensuring that the right technical expertise is applied in defining and implementing the most effective technology.
- Supporting other work processes (plant operation, plant reliability, maintenance, etc.)
in technical and technological areas.
- Development of technical optimization strategies in cooperation with the TICA Organization
- Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in case of production losses and operational disruptions
- Introduction of corrective measures based on RCA's or changes in work processes
- Serves as a project manager for smaller projects
- Initiates and implements DOWTRAN code improvements including the necessary simulations
- Uses plant models to ensure the integration of plant and business interests within plant needs
- Develops project documentation for the process control strategy and updates existing strategies
- Ensures that plant improvements comply with legal requirements
**Required qualifications**- At least 8 years of professional experience as a process or production engineer in industrial chemical plants.
- Knowledge of chemical technical processes and their process control systems.
- Practical and theoretical knowledge in logistics (e.g.
production planning).
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems and methods
- Fluent English in verbal and written communications.
