**Your future is Energy Queensland**:
Energy Queensland, and our operational brands: Energex, Ergon Energy Network, Ergon Retail and Yurika, are at the frontline of progress.
As Australia's largest government-owned electricity organisation, we serve people and communities across the state and beyond.
Here, you'll help us deliver reliable energy solutions for our two million customers.
Join us as a **Technical Trainer Specialist** and amplify your impact.
We currently have **two permanent opportunities** available to support the growing technical training needs of our business, based at our **Toowoomba Training Centre**.
**Your opportunity**:
As a **Technical Trainer Specialist**, you play a crucial role in developing the skills and knowledge of EQL's apprentices, field staff, and contractors by designing and delivering high-quality technical training.
While your primary focus is on distribution training, you're part of a team that delivers over 200 courses, so you occasionally step outside your core area to support evolving priorities and team needs.
Day to day, you:
- ** Deliver face-to-face training** - both in the classroom and training yard, you guide apprentices, field staff, and contractors through engaging and hands-on sessions.
From electrical fundamentals to linework and power tool handling, to running essential courses like pole climbing, you ensure participants gain the theoretical practical skills and knowledge they need to work safely and effectively in their EQL roles.
- ** Undertake compliance activities** - you maintain training records, meet audit requirements, and ensure EQL's training programs remain accredited and effective.
- ** Travel across the state as needed** - while the Toowoomba Training Centre is your base, you occasionally travel to other training centres and EQL sites to support your team.
Your **remuneration** starts from $152k per annum + 14.75% super for a 9-day fortnight, and from $172k per annum + 14.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.
