Job Overview
Responsible for management and oversight of the CMC Greenville, AL Production operations across all shifts. Administers organization policies by performing the duties required either personally or through subordinate supervisors/employees.
A Day In The Life
* Provides leadership to and is responsible for all aspects of the CMC Greenville Manufacturing personnel, productivity, on-time delivery performance, cost and budgeting/forecast.
* Manages and develops a team with a commitment to process improvements in the areas of safety, quality, cost and delivery performance, utilizing business practices, processes to include 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
* Drives/coordinated safety initiatives and improvements across all areas of manufacturing and all shifts.
* Ensures the most effective management of all work centers, processes and personnel involved with the manufacture of Connectors.
* Identifies and manages key cost drivers within the manufacturing process and works to continually refine processes to meet business objectives.
* Develops solutions for meeting production plans in support of Company objectives.
* Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees while maximizing process flexibility through cross training.
* Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of labor and materials. Eliminates waste and develops cost reductions.
What will help you thrive in this role?
* Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university is required.
* 5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and other PC application skills.
* Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
