**Job Description Summary**: The post will be part of the Foreign Trade and Logistics organization for GE Aviation Celma.
A key responsibility will be to ensure that the company's compliance is maintained on all material movements, with ongoing focus on customs activities supported by the Special Regimes team compliance to AEO, as well as maintaining the support to production on all process being imported and exported.
**KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Understanding of Logistics Operational Processes, with experience of 3rd Party Logistics Supplier Engagement
- A core understanding of how to deal with complex Logistics exceptions, including the expedite of items between sites, and the processes within Forwarding and Courier services to manage this
- Have professional attributes to deal with customers, contractors and customs officers face-to-face
- Have experience and communication skills to deal with large cross-section of the business
- Ensure parts, engines, consumables, equipment and tools will be imported and/or exported with the best in class TAT and respecting all compliance, customs, RECOF and AEO procedures
- Represent the logistics team in production meetings to align deadlines to fulfill production needs
- Understand business metrics, budgetary management, and functional metrics
- Develop, Implement and Coordinate regular audits related to International Trade processes
- Understanding of engine receipt, dispatch and transportation processes is desirable
**KEY CUSTOMS & COMPLIANCE TASKS/FUNCTIONS**
- An ongoing focus on Customs Import and Export practices
- Ability to understand and operate within airworthiness legislation requirements, customs regulations and Approved Economic Operator (AEO) requirements
- Develop and maintain the highest standard of accuracy of the company procedures to meet the demands
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Advanced computer literacy skills, with ongoing experience of windows-based packages
- Knowledge on ERPs and Brazilian Foreign Trade System
- English - proven written and oral advanced skills
- Previous experience in Logistics and/or Operations
- Bachelors Degree / relevant diploma holder - in Business Administration, Production Engineering, International Trade or Logistics and Supply Chain
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Possess an innovative, logical and creative approach to resolving issues and process improvements
- Curious and passionate about International Trade, Logistics and GE
- Be able to demonstrate a knowledge of Lean Six Sigma techniques - with a focus on Waste Removal and Digitization
- Kaizen Breakthrough / Improvement Project Experience
- Understanding of Lean Principles such as Standard Work, 5S, Kaizen, GEMBA
- Must be an effective team player with ability to motivate others
- Must be a good negotiator
- Must be adaptable to change
**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS**
- Understanding of AEO and Recof requirements
- Lead improvement projects and processes
- Certified on Foreign Trade trainings
