Team Overview:
We are looking for a Staff Analog Engineer to join the Impinj silicon engineering team to work on the next generation of tag and reader chips. We are a fun, hardworking team of top-tier silicon designers that value and celebrate partnership and teamwork!
What you will do:
1. Work with team to specify and architect advance RFID Reader IC’s
2. Implement in low-power and low-voltage RF and Analog circuits using advanced deep-submicron CMOS technologies.
3. Perform design verification and production support tasks.
4. Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of digital designers, analog designers, software engineers, test engineers, systems engineers through all phases of product development to deliver new features and products.
What you will bring:
5. 5+ years of experience leading Analog/RF design activities
6. Advanced ability to comprehend RF transceiver system level requirements and translate into circuit level specifications.
7. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
8. Hands-on experience in leading the design of various RF/Analog integrated circuits, such as LNA, Mixer, RF VGAs, PA, VCO, PLL, Regulators, ADC/DAC, etc., in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
9. Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of phase noise generation and mitigation.
10. Strong knowledge on IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Specter, EMX.
11. A thorough understanding of physical layout requirement.
12. Lab testing skills to evaluate the prototype units to the design specification. Software skill for controlling lab equipment to create controlled, accurate. repeatable, and presentable characterization results.
13. Motivated to carry out a wide variety of tasks with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment.

The base pay range for this role in Brazil is $170,000 BRL.. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
