Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Executes and manages capital projects from feasibility through commissioning, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost
* Leads process design and optimization for critical systems, including reactors, condensers, distillation columns, utilities (steam, chilled water), and storage vessels
* Develops and reviews detailed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), technical specifications, and engineering documentation
* Collaborates cross-functionally with operations, quality assurance, maintenance, and external vendors to achieve project milestones
* Conducts safety assessments such as Management of Change (MOCs), Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs), implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and other applicable standards
* Utilizes project management tools (e.g., MS Project) to effectively manage project scope, schedule, and budget
* Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiency
* Diagnoses and resolves operational and equipment issues by analyzing system performance, identifying root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions
* Provides troubleshooting support for equipment such as reactors, condensers, and distillation columns, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
* Supports knowledge sharing and mentorship to foster a high-performing engineering team
