Make your mark in Actuarial
Our Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance and reserving losses for AIG’s major insurance operating companies, globally. We collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing and Risk Management, among other functions. As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage and mitigate risk.
How you will create an impact
Responsibilities:
* Generate and validate SUSEP Statistical Database required by the local regulator.
* Validate Data Quality and Correspondence for the monthly closing of the Accounting books.
* Attend Local Regulator/auditors requirements/appointments regarding Data Quality/FIPSUSEP/SUSEP Statistical Database.
* Calculate and analyze P&L Impact on Earned Premium UPR, RVR and ULAE Reserves.
* Monitor and generate reports of Coverage of Commitments.
* Calculate deductible assets for coverage of technical provisions.
* Support FIP SUSEP validation required by the local regulator.
* Improve procedures, develop process automation using SAS and Python tools.
* Assess, monitor and report the capital level required by the local regulator.
* Prepare presentations and reports.
* Support local actuarial team in actuarial studies.
* Support financial statements notes related to the actuarial work.
* Support Actuarial Audit.
* Ensure accuracy on actuarial databases.
* Attend the external actuarial and other audit process.
What you’ll need to succeed
* Previous experience with local closing, including FIP SUSEP and SUSEP Statistical Database knowledge.
* Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial.
* MIBA is desired.
* Programming proficiency in SAS is required.
* Python is desired and a differential.
* Personal Organization, good communication, take the initiative and analytical skills are valued.
* Willing and able to continuously learn and adapt in a dynamic and fast changing environment.
* Basic/Intermediate English skills is desired.
