ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:As a Legal Officer (Paralegal) you will be responsible for supporting all AME Geo Legal commercial and administrative activity in the AME Geo, with a focus on reviewing customer RFPs, supplier agreements, and general commercial documents and deals arising in the SITA at Airports, Communications & Data Exchange products and Borders business units.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Assist AME Geo Legal attorneys in preparing, revising and organizing legal documents, including RFPs, contracts, reports, case files.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparation and strategy.
Manage and maintain AME Geo Legal databases and document management systems.
Oversee the payment process of external law firms, including raising purchase orders, revising invoices, ensuring accuracy and processing payments in a timely manner.
Provide administrative support to the AME GEO Legal, including managing calendars, assisting with the preparation of reports and presentations for external and internal use.
Communicate with external legal counsels and other stakeholders across different jurisdictions, where needed.
Support AME Geo Legal in various projects and initiatives as needed.
Maintain excellent inter-personnel communications and relationships.
Advising internal teams on SITA policies and procedures related to commercial contracts.
QUALIFICATIONS:Proven track record in multi-national environments, particularly within the North America and Latin America regions.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, legal studies or a related field.
Thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented commercial environment and understand financial principles and practices in a multi-national corporate context.
7+ years relevant work experience to include legal document review and comment as well as negotiation skills.
Excellent organization and administrative skills with attention to detail.
Business acumen and understanding of corporate operations and governance standards.
Strong project management principles (task identification and prioritization, timeline management, results focus).
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex situations and develop appropriate strategies.
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate factual matters, effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
