BHP's CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability.
As the largest investment in Saskatchewan's history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026.
Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages.Work LocationThis role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK.
The work schedule for this role will initially be Monday to Friday, transitioning to seven days on, seven days off (7x7) at a future determined date.As this role is not eligible for accommodation in the site camp, the incumbent must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Jansen site.
BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required.
Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a relocation allowance.PurposeReporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Operator contributes to the transport and delivery of freight and products and goods being received into the business and management of warehouse operations, involving the handling and management of goods and products.About the RoleIn this role, you will:Safely execute the storage, handling, and transport of goods in alignment with safety standards and global Warehousing processes, including material preservation and preventative maintenance.Perform duties to ensure safe and compliant consignment, loading, and transport of materials including handling, storage, and transport of all goods (e.g.
HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods).Enact and follow the global Warehousing processes, procedures, and transactions with respect to reception, consolidation, and delivery of goods and materials.Identify and record hazards, and ensure personal actions mitigate risk in the work environment, including warehouse critical risks.Monitor and take action to preserve optimum material condition, as informed by relevant local strategies (including critical parts).Obtain information needed in the safe administration of contracts in the warehouses as required by the BHP Contract Management Framework (CMF).Apply an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimization, and maximize value.Apply knowledge of relevant commercial industry trends to propose actions that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain.Understand and apply the relevant requirements and standards relating to the management and treatment of risk.Speak up about threats and opportunities, seek to learn from success and failure, and take responsibility for managing risks and issues.About You2-3 years of relevant industry experience in Materials Management.Materials Management, inventory control, logistics experience, preferably in the Potash mining industry.Knowledge of Materials Management, Inventory control, and expediting practices within an MRP system, preferably SAP recommended.Possess experience operating forklifts in a warehousing environment.Awareness of Dangerous Goods storage, handling and transport requirements.Computer skills commensurate with job responsibilities.Application DeadlineThis posting will be active until 11:59 pm CST on February 2, 2025.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
