We offer: 100% Remote Work$20 to $28 USD per hour Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Java or Python Developer with strong capabilities in SQL performance tuning, Linux systems, and L3 support.
This hybrid role combines software development with advanced troubleshooting responsibilities to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications in production environments.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java or Python.Write efficient, maintainable, object-oriented code and conduct code reviews.Provide L3 support for production systems, including incident analysis, root cause resolution, and long-term fixes.Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexes, joins, and execution plans for peak database performance.Use Linux commands to trace logs, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues at the OS level.Collaborate with L1/L2 support teams, DevOps, and Engineering to resolve escalated incidents.Implement performance improvements and document technical solutions and support procedures. Required Skills: Proficiency in Java or Python with object-oriented programming and debugging experience.Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning (query optimization, table stats, indexing, join strategies).Hands-on experience with Linux systems and command-line tools for debugging and monitoring.Proven experience in L3 production support, including log analysis, root cause identification, and resolution.Understanding of relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL). Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with frameworks like Spring Boot, Flask, or Django.Exposure to tools like Splunk, New Relic, or Datadog for monitoring and troubleshooting.Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker). Nice to Have: Exposure to materialized views, inline views, and complex query tuning.Scripting capabilities in Shell/Bash or automation using Python.Prior experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability applications.
