RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS
About the job:
The Head of Product Marketing is the key role for the company's go-to-market strategy. You will work collaboratively with Sales, Product Management, Marketing Communications, Demand Generation, Customer Success, Customer Support, and other teams to drive growth and customer success. Your job is to understand the product's value proposition and turn that information into compelling messages for customers, prospects, and internal audiences. Besides leading our team of PMM's, you will lead the Community team on supporting and continuously creating value for our community of users worldwide.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop the product narrative and positioning for Blip's current portfolio as well as future products. Work closely with product management to evolve this narrative alongside the product roadmap;
2. Build and maintain a customer segmentation framework for Blip's key target audiences (enterprise, SMB, developers) that will serve as the foundation for all marketing and sales activities, grounded on market research and customer conversations;
3. Build and maintain a sales targeting framework, mapping Blip's users, influencers, and decision makers within the key customer segments, with clear archetype definitions and examples, grounded on customer conversations;
4. Build and maintain Blip's sales enablement library, including product collateral, developer summaries, product demos, webinars, tutorials, videos, and detailed customer case studies;
5. Lead the growth and nurturing of our community through several initiatives. Build and run a champion program, which recognizes key contributors and empowers them, in turn, to lead within the community and help other developers on their journeys;
6. Build and maintain a data analytics platform to support all marketing and growth activities, working closely with the marketing and customer success teams.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
7. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience building and shipping complex software products;
8. 5+ years of total experience in tech product marketing roles, with a focus on product portfolio development and demand generation; at least 2 years of experience in one or more of the following: enterprise software, cloud/SaaS products, developer tools;
9. 2+ years of experience in a product marketing leadership role, with a significant track record of hiring/building and managing teams;
10. In-depth knowledge of cloud/SaaS and/or developer tools software purchase, development, and implementation business cycles;
11. Experience working cross-functionally with product management, marketing, sales, engineering, customer success teams;
12. Experience with inbound product marketing activities: doing market & competitor research; creating customer segmentation and pricing frameworks; developing market requirements;
13. Experience with outbound product marketing activities: designing go-to-market strategy; building marketing programs with a focus on customer acquisition and customer retention; creating PR campaigns; building product-centric website and collaterals; leading sales enablement programs;
14. Experience with data analytics and growth marketing;
15. Fluent in English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Spanish knowledge would also be a big plus.
