Child and Family Outpatient Services
Our Child and Family Outpatient services provide an array of counseling and support services to families with children and youth who may have emotional and/or behavioral challenges.
Compass Health services are designed to promote positive changes in behavior, help the child/youth and family learn appropriate coping skills, improve communication skills including learning to resolve conflict and manage emotions in a healthy manner.
Job Summary:
Provides individual behavioral health counseling and other medically necessary behavioral health services to children and/or families.
Works with clients referred from local school districts to provide a range of therapeutic services including 1:1 counseling, family therapy and referral for more intensive services.
Reviews behavioral modification strategies with school staff to ensure that clients maintain educational stability.
Requirements:
* MA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field.
* Qualifies as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC preferred.
* Meets educational and training requirements for designation as a Child Mental Health Specialist preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Evidence-Based Practices, or interest and ability to learn.
* Individuals who do not already hold a license or associate license through the Washington State Department of Health must submit Agency Affiliated Counselor application upon hire and be approved by the DOH.
