Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Project Management System.
2. Perform cold eyes review of key rotating engineering FEED deliverables.
3. During the ITT phase, provide technical information/clarifications requested by the bidders.
4. Lead rotating engineering design and planning activities and ensure FEED contractor develops FEED deliverables in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations.
5. Resolve rotating engineering discipline issues to ensure engineering design addresses Project’s expectations and objectives.
6. Communicate and elevate issues before they escalate to Project Management when necessary.
7. Review technical aspects of rotating equipment purchase orders with FEED Contractor and vendors in accordance with the roles and responsibilities stated in applicable contract(s) to ensure safe and seamless integration of new rotating equipment into the existing operating facilities.
8. Assess discipline plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of project activities and provide data (narrative, charts, graphs), recovery plans to address any schedule delays.
9. Develop, update and amend design / project philosophies, specifications and procedures ensuring that all references to Rotating Engineering are current and relevant.
10. Monitor and provide guidance to FEED Contractor to ensure key discipline deliverables, progress/milestones are met. Recommend additional technical support where necessary to address gaps.
11. Coordinate and analyze discipline issues for resolution. Provide Rotating Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, procurement etc. as necessary.
12. Plan and schedule Rotating Engineering deliverables to enable efficient execution in meeting project milestones/schedule.
13. Lead Rotating Engineering discipline interface coordination with third parties, as required, during the ITT and FEED phases.
14. Contribute to Safety analysis studies and provide the required input to support project management in key decision making.
15. Participate in sharing lessons learned, together with capturing current lessons learned to benefit future projects.
