Reports To: Brazil Manufacturing Director
As the Senior Plant Manager, you will be responsible for leading the production operations of Newell’s Pouso Alegre facility, driving safety, operational excellence, and financial performance. You will oversee compliance with corporate and legal standards while fostering innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role involves managing a diverse team, shaping long-term strategies, and ensuring high-quality production delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize efficiency, productivity, and site performance.
* Lead a team of ~600 employees, fostering collaboration, growth, and accountability.
* Manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while promoting a culture of operational excellence.
* Drive innovation through automation, lean manufacturing, and capital investment strategies.
* Oversee product delivery to meet quality, cost, and timeline goals across Newell's network.
* Develop long-term plans for site talent, infrastructure, and technological advancements.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field
* Solid experience operations/manufacturing management, overseeing multiple departments beyond production.
* Experience in plastic process manufacturing industries
* Bilingual: English and Portuguese, with excellent communication skills.
* Financial performance management and strategic planning capabilities, with expertise in budget management, cost analysis, and resource allocation.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and lead by example.
* Strong cross-functional collaboration within matrix environments and conflict resolution.
