FUPAC’s location at the frontline of migration flows makes it pivotal in addressing the immediate protection needs of refugees and migrants while supporting their voluntary relocation process and transition to durable solutions.Key focus areas for 2025 include:Strengthened protection mechanisms for vulnerable groups, including unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV).Expanded partnerships with local and national private sector actors to support livelihoods and economic integration.Advanced contingency planning to address potential surges in border mobility.Enhanced capacity for generating actionable intelligence to inform planning and advocacy efforts.Desirable Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong background in protection work, particularly in challenging environments like border areas. Key qualifications and attributes include:Essential Qualifications:Educational Background: At least a High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with one year of relevant experience in fields such as International Law, Political and/or Social Sciences.Technical Expertise: Proven experience in managing protection cases, strong knowledge of international protection frameworks, and familiarity with protection-related guidelines.Community Engagement: Experience in Community-Based Protection (CBP) and Communication with Communities (CwC) initiatives.Desirable Attributes:Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze data and trends.Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.Adaptability and Resilience: Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Language SkillsFluency in Portuguese and working proficiency in English is mandatory.
