The Amazon First Mile team is looking for a First Mile Operations Manager to raise the bar and ensure that every customer and seller across the country receives the speed, quality, and reliability they expect from Amazon.As an SPC EDSP First Mile Operations Leader, you will oversee and promote the expansion of the First Mile network with our EDSP (External Delivery Service Partner) program across the country. The EDSP structure is a hybrid operation that uses first-mile partners operating regionally with Amazon technology to pick up sellers' packages and deliver the best service to our customers and sellers in Brazil.You will manage two different distribution methods operated by our logistics partners: the SPC (Seller Processing Center) and Pickup Nodes.Key job responsibilitiesManage a pool of more than 30 EDSPs for pickups in sellers;Build strong partnerships with 3P operational leaders and Amazon stakeholders, accelerating problem-solving to prevent issues that could harm the customer and seller experience;Innovate to improve customer and seller experience while reducing operational costs;Analyze and solve operational barriers, focusing on identifying root causes;Build strong mechanisms and KPIs to improve daily operations;Communicate efficiently across different audiences, including operations staff, support teams, and senior leadership;Benchmark with other countries and players to optimize our operations network;Actively review the current distribution methods and network design to support Amazon's constant growth;Ensure the supply of equipment to meet demands;Define short-, medium-, and long-term strategies to meet our growing demand;Be responsible for leading a mixed structure of logistics partners;Ensure compliance and quality in deliveries while focusing on user experience.A day in the lifeThe day of a leader in the First Mile area will be dynamic, alternating (1) operational activities, such as Gembas and managing partners' routines, (2) tactical activities, such as building mechanisms for operational efficiency, and (3) strategic activities, such as active participation in strategic planning cycles for expanding and consolidating the EDSP partner network. It is important to note that the leader will be required to travel +30% of his/her time, in order to allow proximity to partners and easy identification of opportunities for operational improvement.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering or Logistics;Experienced in Distribution and/or Fulfillment processes, ideally in fast-paced eCommerce environment;Proven analysis and problem-solving skills;Fluent in Portuguese and English;Availability to travel and work from different locations.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
