The Role
As a Husbandry Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient coordination of port calls and exceptional customer service.
You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth execution of Husbandry services in compliance with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with SASA Account Sales to ensure seamless execution of Husbandry port calls.
- Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries promptly.
- Assign and monitor service execution for all port appointments.
- Ensure Proforma Disbursement Accounts (DAs) are sent on time.
- Manage advance funding to local agents, ensuring timely remittance at least 3 days before vessel arrival.
- Verify pre-funding approvals and escalate deviations for appropriate authorization.
- Oversee vessel monitoring and service coordination, including change requests, while ensuring compliance with Ships Agency Standard Operating Procedures.
- Select and book suppliers and sub-agents, ensuring compliance with Supplier Governance Standards.
- Track and record expenses related to port calls.
- Monitor global port calls and collaborate with Operations to meet customer expectations.
- Ensure Cash-in-Transit (Cash to Master) transactions follow Wilhelmsen procedures.
- Identify and suggest process improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage DA handling (Proforma & Revised), ensuring accurate data entry and verification.
- Register and follow up on complaints and non-compliance reports.
- Participate in business review meetings with customers and collaborate with Key Account Managers (KAMs).
Who You Are
- Experienced in the maritime industry, preferably in ship agency operations.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational systems.
- Strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills.
