Regulatory Manager, Health and Biosciences business unit, Latin America Job Summary In the Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) team we have an opening for a Regulatory Manager for the Latin America (LATAM) region to coordinate and drive regulatory and advocacy activities for our Bioactives (biotechnology food, feed, and technical products), Botanical extracts/Bioscience and Fibers (i.e. Bearberry extract, Sharp PS, Litesse etc.), and Probiotics businesses with our Health and Bioactives (H&B) business unit.The Global Regulatory Affairs organization employs more than 300 highly specialized and committed colleagues worldwide and has a footprint in more than 20 countries. Our work environment is truly international, and we offer a dynamic working culture focused on partnership, cross-organizational collaboration, and individual development opportunities.The role reports to the Director of Americas for the Bioactives business and will be located at our IFF Sao Paulo site in Brazil.RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The Regulatory Manager is responsible for providing hands-on regulatory support for the development and maintenance of H&B business segments within Latin America. This role includes involvement in the relevant product lines and customers, leadership in trade associations, regulatory agency interaction, and occasional regulatory submission support within the region.Specific Responsibilities include:Coordination and communication of regulatory and advocacy status with internal stakeholders (e.g., business leaders, sales directors, product line managers, regulatory) and external (e.g., customers)Advocacy leadership and strategy development internally and within relevant trade associations for food, dietary supplements, feed, and home and personal careActive involvement with new projects and new product developments and supporting dossier work on an as needed basis.Ad hoc liaison with the relevant stakeholders during risk evaluations and management processesInterfaces with internal business functions to support business plans, development opportunities and R&D objectives.Involvement with regulatory filings as neededProvide regional regulatory input during cross functional business projects.EXTERNAL FOCUS:Can be expected to spend about 15% time travelling to support regional business-customer interactions, trade associations or interacting with government officials.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:MSc or BSc degree in Regulatory Science, Biology, Toxicology, or Chemistry or similar fieldsDoctorate degress with 6+ years of experience; Masters degree with 12+ years of experience, Bachelors with 15+ years of experienceKnowledge of the LATAM regulatory landscape for biotechnology, food, feed, dietary supplements, and home and personal care and their uses; knowledge of global regulatory landscape is an added advantageLATAM experience in interaction with regulatory agencies, trade associations, and track record in product clearance/registrationsDemonstrate analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking as well as excellent communication skills across a global teamStrong interpersonal, organization, project management, and communication skillsStrong influencer and collaborator with interdisciplinary teamsProficient in Microsoft office applications (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel, Powerpoint)PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CV IN ENGLISH!We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
