**What we are looking for**:
The IT Specialist / Senior SQL Server/Oracle DBA is responsible for creation and maintenance and of any new company Databases (primarily RDBMS) required for development, testing, education and production usage. The person in this role participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the AGCO infrastructure. This role is also responsible for enabling the day-to-day IT activities company-wide via the availability of systems, operating systems, and software systems. This role is a part of the overall technical services structure within IT that supports the AGCO business needs indirectly. The person in this role work with project teams to enable a smooth transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing activities throughout the project life cycle.
**What are you going to do**:
- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the Oracle and SQL Server databases, including installation, patching, upgrading, maintenance, indexing, statistics, backup and restore, performance tuning, full text indexes, data archival, user access security and partitioning that support the critical systems.
- Provide support by collaborating with systems analysts, developers, business analysts, and project teams. Also work with the team and vendors to maintain the environment, create innovation solutions and optimum performance for the databases.
- Work with vendors to propose and implement enhancements to improve performance and reliability within the supported IT environment. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
- Develop policies, procedures and standards related to the use of RDBMS based resources. Assist in strategy, design, implementation, and operational aspects of multiple RDBMS, operating environments, and related software. Schedules, plans, and oversees system upgrades and backups.
- Applies enhancements and improves the managed systems by continuously aligning it to the new business requirements.

**What do you need**:
- Advanced English is mandatory. Excellent written and spoken English. Good communications skills to be able to communicate with people at different levels of the organization.
- Proven skills in working with SQL Server and Oracle databases in particular SQL 2008 - 2019, Oracle 11g -19c.
- Experience in Cloud technologies AWS including setting up databases in Amazon RDS.
- Experience of MS Windows, AIX and Linux Red Hat operating systems, AWR, ADDM, RMAN, OEM 13c/12c, Performance tuning, RMAN, shell scripting, Data Guard, Networker, SQL Clustering, Replication and Log shipping.
- Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system is a plus.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science, IT, engineering or equivalent education.
