**Executive Director / Superintendente Executivo Jurídico - Investment Banking Legal**
The attorney will be responsible for providing advice regarding the Investment Banking businesses and risk management activities, negotiation and drafting transaction agreements, advising on complex business transactions, providing advocacy on regulatory matters, implementing regulatory requirements, ensuring day-to-day support of Investment Banking teams and functional partners.
The attorney will work closely with the business from inception to the close of transactions, with full involvement in the transaction execution process, including transaction documentation.
The role also requires developing and managing relationships with external counsel and working closely with them on those transactions for which they are engaged, as well as liaising with legal colleagues in other jurisdictions on cross-border transactions and with Compliance and other internal risk and control functions.
The attorney will also support the business on the new products/services initiatives, helping the firm to navigate through the Brazilian complex legal framework along with the JPM policies requirements.
The role will also include the participation in industry associations forums representing the firm in the discussions involving the regulatory and operational framework of the investment banking sector, as well as the review of new rules initiatives arising from regulators.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed to practice law in Brazil.
- A senior lawyer with at least 12+ years of financial industry regulatory and/or transactional experience.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, financing structures, derivatives and banking regulations
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the business and other functions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Commercial aptitude and strong interest in financial markets and products.
- Excellent legal drafting skills and an eye for detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
