The Deployment Operations Lead will play a critical role in scaling our team and culture in Brazil. This role is ideal for an experienced operations professional who shares passion for our mission and brings deep expertise in logistics, precision technology and science operations, and people leadership.
This is an early-stage building opportunity as we implement and scale our Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) projects in Brazil. We are seeking a natural leader with a technical orientation to assemble evolving business, technical, and scientific requirements into efficient processes, procedures that drive a highly effective operation. We require a builder with hands-on initiative who can also coach our team, collaborate cross-functionally and manage partner relationships.
This role reports to the Brazil GM and works closely with CDR Generation and Science leaders.
Responsibilities:
* Guiding Objective: Lead deployment operations in Brazil to execute Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) projects as we expand substantially (1,000x or greater scale-up) with substantially greater efficiency (reducing cost by 50% or more) over time.
* Scope: Responsible for leading the deployment of commercial ERW deployments end-to-end. This includes enrolling and managing quarry relationships, ground logistics (rock transportation and spreading), farm relationships, and implementing MRV protocols.
* Scaling Excellence: Develop a culture of excellence for precision science and technology deployments and scale the team from ~7 FTEs today to 50+ in the next 2 years.
* Integrative Leadership: Deployment Operations spans multiple disciplines and functions including project management, relationship management, logistics, compliance, and field science.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact closely with the Science team to implement and evolve MRV methods and protocols. Interface with the technology team to provide "customer feedback" on digital deployment tools. Advise the CDR Generation team to provide operational guidance on potential deployments. Interface with the Registry team to ensure projects are compliant with registry guidelines for ERW projects.
