Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Platform Tennis & Pickleball Professional to lead and grow our racquet sports programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about both sports, have strong leadership and teaching skills, and possess the ability to create engaging programs for players of all ages and skill levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be a passionate ambassador for the games of tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball.
* Provide private/group lessons and clinics to both adults and children at a high level.
* Play tennis, pickleball, and platform tennis at a high level and provide instruction to members of varying skill levels to facilitate skill development and relationship building. Hours on the court will be 30-40 hours/week.
* Assure a consistent, efficient, and seamless daily operation of Club-wide racquets operations; provide members and guests with an environment that reflects the values of the Club.
* Enthusiastically encourage member participation by assisting the Director of Racquets and Sports (DORS) and planning new events to promote the sports and fellowship in the Club.
* Organize, schedule, and manage tournaments, clinics, round robins, social events, and other tennis related activities to maximize members' access to and enjoyment of the tennis and pickleball facilities.
* Together with DORS, help create a comprehensive events and activities program to include social, competitive, and instructional programming for all levels.
* Participation and assisting in administrative responsibilities for the SVCC boutique, junior summer camp.
* Follow the SVCC teaching philosophy. Implement that philosophy throughout the racquets programs.
* Understand the department's POS operations to ensure accurate member billing and accurate sales/activity reports.
* Attend all appropriate SVCC staff meetings.
* Work in tandem with the Club's Maintenance staff.
* Enforce all the Club's rules and regulations governing use of the facilities, equipment, dress code, and sportmanship as set forth by the Club.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* USPTA or PPTA certification preferred.
* Proven experience teaching and managing platform tennis and pickleball programs.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
* Ability to create dynamic and engaging programs for all age groups and skill levels.
* Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
