Our eCommerce client has a Senior Software Engineer need for a remote 2 year contract plus extensions. Candidates must sit in Brazil.
Required Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience with Golang.
4+ years of experience with React or React Native, particularly with functional components and hooks.
Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and RESTful APIs.
Proficiency in Redux, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases.
Commitment to high-quality coding practices, including comprehensive documentation, active participation in code reviews, and adherence to best practices in software development.
Passion for staying current with the latest software tools and methodologies.
Intellectual curiosity and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with functional components.
Nice to Have:Experience in mobile development.
Kafka experience because they are a Kafka shop.
Experience with glass components.
Cockroach or GCP shop – cloud foundations.
Job Description:Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, backend engineers, test automation engineers, UX designers, and Scrum Masters to continuously enhance customer experience.
Develop and maintain modular frontend web and mobile applications, ensuring high performance, maintainability, and testability.
Participate in the development and updating of shared component libraries to enable rapid iteration and consistent development practices.
Mentor and coach mid-level and junior developers, fostering a sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
Cultivate a positive team atmosphere that encourages open communication, creative problem-solving, and innovative thinking.
Translate functional requirements into responsive components and pages with a mobile-first mentality, championing accessibility best practices.
