The Finance Business Analyst is responsible for ongoing business and financial analysis, follow-up of the group’s business activities (distribution, retail, and services), participating in value-added studies for the group, developing procedures, predicting spending and return, and assisting Business units in their decisions.
The Business Analyst is also responsible for analyzing risks and economic trends and guiding the business to assist in measurement, planning, and forecasting of activities and implications on the income statement and balance sheet; and to develop, interpret, and implement financial and accounting concepts/techniques for financial planning and control.
She/he oversees the operational finance such as general accounting, financial analysis, credit approvals/collections, payments, etc., and establishes short-term and long-term objectives with adequate operating plans for future developments.

Finance Activities
* Manage monthly and annual reporting on a timely basis.
* Oversee the P&L and balance sheets and cash flow - analyze and recommend on monthly figures from business units compared to budget and last year.
* Overall responsibility for accounting accuracy following IFRS and group guidelines.
* Prepare and analyze budgets, plans, and budget revisions working closely with the operational teams of the business units (marketing, sales), challenge their teams and assumptions, and propose revisions.
* Develop Financial Strategic Planning as 3-Y Plan, strategic plan, Annual Plan & Quarterly Plan updates.
Is a service provider of financial information to internal clients and to group headquarters, making constructive proposals and acting as an internal consultancy to the Managing Director, Business units’ Managers, and Group Finance Manager to monitor the business.
Develop an in-depth knowledge of the activity of the business units under her/his responsibility; including brands, sales by market, distribution/retail outlets, as well as advertising spend, etc.
Work closely with operational sales and marketing managers and will be expected to develop excellent knowledge of the business units’ operating environments (market size, industry trends, competitors, etc.), challenge the operational teams and their assumptions, and propose revisions.
* Support Marketing and Sales Teams in preparing P&L projection for promotions and launches, analysis of financial viability of new openings, and marketing budget follow-up.
* Assist management team in the continuous process of improving reporting, identifying cost reduction, process improvement opportunities, and implementing change to gain efficiencies and streamline workflows.
* Assist group headquarters in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management.
* Develop and improve processes related to Capital expenditure, appropriate financial methods to better evaluate and measure performance.
Provide detailed IRR/payback studies in the group format to justify capital expenditure, including all relevant analysis.
Reporting and Analysis
Provide comprehensive financial and accounting advice services and various reports and statements to business units’ managers.
Prepare monthly management reports.
Project Analysis
Participate in new projects by preparing business plans, studying the cash flow and P&L.
Assist in Business Development by bringing financial expertise.

Profile:
Ideally qualified accountant or business school graduate with an understanding of retail and consumer business experience.
