Role Description
The purpose of this role is to bridge the gap between Sales, Solution, and Product teams by defining Go-To-Market strategies, developing client engagement playbooks, and creating effective approaches for pitching all Harmonic solutions in Latin America. The BDR will work in collaboration with sales account managers and must be a strong team player.
In the BDR role, you will do well if you have experience in business development and/or outbound prospecting, if you love a challenge, working in target-driven environments, and succeeding as part of a team. We are seeking someone who is comfortable to speak to C-level customers, presenting to big audiences, as well as making sure you are up to date on the newest technologies and industry trends.

You can be based anywhere in Latam, with close proximity to major international airports.
What you will be doing
1. Overlay support for Sales teams on advanced projects (SaaS, monetization)
2. New business development through proactive lead generation and uncovering and creating well-qualified new SaaS & video appliances opportunities.
3. Strategic partner development to expand Harmonic’s ecosystem
4. Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy definition for key markets
o Understand the business and research relevant sales targets (verticals, customer segments, etc) and gather key lead information.
5. Key account coordination in collaboration with key account managers to drive long-term growth
6. New business development through proactive lead generation
o Drive Harmonic’s growth through inbound & outbound, strategic & targeted prospecting efforts, generating high-value sales leads (start-ups, unicorns, enterprise businesses) that will turn into opportunities and closed business.
7. Creation of sales and marketing materials (decks, Sales tools)
What you need to succeed
* Experience in Sales related environment including lead generation and complex selling of B2B and SaaS solutions.
* Independent business developer demonstrating proactivity in lead generation.
* Strong listening and customer relationship skills.
* Adaptable, curious, and comfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic and customer facing environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communications including the ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas.
* Influencing skill and experienced in working with all levels of management inside and outside the company.
* Active relationship builder who can collaborate with internal and external teams to consistently improve processes and communication workflows.
* Fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese is a plus.
* OTT workflow knowledge experience is a strong plus.
* Enthusiasm, fun and optimism.
Travel
* Travel will be required to meet customers and peers.
Educational Requirements
* Engineering or Business degree is preferable.
