He/she must execute all services of his/her specialty according to the determinations and supervision of Electro-technical Officers (ETO's) in order to keep all appliances, electrical installations and lighting fixtures correctly operating.Job DescriptionFamiliarize with the electrical plant of the unit, particularly the SCR system.Be familiar with machinery and systems to safely and quickly restore essential services in emergency situations, while respecting Company procedures, policies, and instructions.Attend the machinery room during vessel maneuvers and in any emergency situation.Inspect internal communications systems, navigation lights, internal lights, cranes, gypsy heads, conservative groups, rudder machines, and all electric and electronic equipment and motors of board control and automation, ensuring they are in good operational condition.Take responsibility for all materials, tools, and appliances related to his/her specialty, preserving them and exercising due caution.Assist with research work as instructed by a senior officer.Ensure accurate information enters maintenance logs, covering a wide scope of work during the engagement period on board the ship, and keep all work-related manuals and drawings updated.Notify the Chief Engineer / Electro-Technical Officer about transmission requirements and maintain responsibility for all materials, tools, and appliances related to his/her specialty.Keep the Second Engineer and ETO fully informed about the progress of any works and report any defects or problems found in their area of responsibility.You are meant for this job if:Complete electrical technical course.CIR in Electrician.Waterways Adaptation Course, with concentration in Electricity CAAQ-ELT.SkillsWritten and Verbal Communication.Organization.Additional SkillsMandatory:Training certificate 1034 – III/7.STCW - Basic Safety Training VI/1 (TBS1).STCW – Security with Designated Duties A-VI/6-2 (EBCP).Recommended:STCW - Certificate of Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (CERR).STCW – Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft (EESS).STCW - Advanced MN Fire Fighting A-VI/3 (ECIA).STCW – Medical First Aid A-VI/4-1 (EPSM).Being a global leader in the energy industry requires an inclusive and diverse environment.
