Job Responsibilities:Conduct property loss control surveys to evaluate the property and business interruption exposures at client facilities based on NFPA Standards and others as appropriate.Develop recommendations based on standards to include loss estimates before and after completion of the recommendations.Evaluate automatic fire protection and water supply systems.Report and evaluate building construction, occupancy, special and natural hazards.Develop loss estimates based on scenarios such as the Maximum Foreseeable Loss.Provide training and peer review for other consultants; serve as a technical resource to other consultants.Prepare and present proposals, develop service instructions, solicit client feedback and prepare stewardship reports.Provide project management services to include special visits, plan reviews, and oral/written presentations to clients.Actively manage your work assigned in the database.Functional Requirements:Review and respond to communication from clients and internal communication.Carry out fieldwork, report writing, consulting, and plan review.Review workloads and revise accordingly.Must be able to: climb ladders; lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
; stoop, crouch, crawl; traverse catwalks.Travel may be up to 50% and include out of district work including overseas travel if needed.May hold any of the following certifications or be working toward Professional Engineer License (PE), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).Qualifications:10+ years of consulting experience in fire and property loss control.Experience in servicing major accounts.Ability to manage your own workload.Recognized technical expertise.Professional conduct and excellent written/verbal communication skills are required as the position requires direct contact with upper client management, including risk managers, financial managers, and other decision-makers.This job specification should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
