The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).The IIE Varsity College, Westville Campushas a vacancy within the Faculty of Computer Science for the following module:INSY6112 - Information Systems 1BCompetencies Required:Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent presentation skills.Assertiveness and dynamism.Understanding of customer service in education.Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively.Proficiency Required in the Following Technologies:Database systems (MySQL, NoSQL, and MangoDB)Visual Studio 2022Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)Minimum Education Requirements:Honour's degree or Postgraduate diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or any Database-related IT qualificationMinimum Experience Requirements:Minimum of 3 years Teaching and Learning experience (preferably in a teaching environment)Lecturing experience in programming and databasesProven track record of managing code and collaboration using Git and GitHub.Work experience as a database designer or developer/software developer/ application developer will advantageous.Working Conditions:Please note that this is an Independent Contractor rolePositions are part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00am and 17:00pm.Owing to the volume of CVs received, we may not be able to personally contact all applicants.
