Manufacturing Excellence Manager
- Background & Purpose of the Job_
The Manufacturing Excellence Manager is responsible for managing and driving implementation of the World Class Manufacturing (UMS) program, by coordinating the UMS activities for loss eradication within manufacturing context.
S/he is also builds a plant UMS (Unilever Manufacturing System) master plan, providing coaching for the plant, developing and managing UMS skill base within Manufacturing, and delivering UMS training.
- Responsibilities_- Drive UMS (Continuous Improvement) program deployment, including standards set up, development and maintenance of Skill Base and Awards Management- Establish a common methodology for implementing UMS in the factory, providing coaching and supporting training activities- Maximize UMS similarities and synergies within the plant, developing action plans for effective knowledge and best practices transfer- Expand the loss management framework beyond Manufacturing and have KPI´s for interfaces with Manufacturing (OR losses), Cost Deployment- Support the implementation of Sites improvement programs- Deliver appropriate training and coaching- Exploit new continuous improvement tools
- Requirements_- Complete bachelor graduation- Intermediate English (minimum)- Availability to travel once a month for all 5 plants (Brazil and Argentina) that this person will be responsible for.- Solid experience within manufacturing.- Strong LEAN, WCM, UMS & Continuous Improvement background is required (with strong achievements)-
- Experience with Tools for Productivity increase (Labor balance, Times and Methods Study)- Basic know how about mechanical and pneumatic systems- Experience leading Kaizen Events (PDCA Cycle)
