About the Role:
The Event & Donor Stewardship Manager is a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for supporting our strategic and fundraising goals. As the lead for fundraising events and mid-level donor relationships, you will serve as an ambassador for First Tee – Orange County at network events and speaking opportunities. Your primary objective is to advance our mission by increasing donor giving, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Events:
Plan, execute, and evaluate annual fundraising events, ensuring successful outcomes and growth in revenue.
Project manage all aspects of events, including logistics, budget, timeline, vendors, guests, and staff/volunteer engagement.
Utilize Givesmart Fundraising Tool to create and execute digital fundraising campaigns, managing financials, guest logistics, and information.
Develop and implement sponsorship packages for each event, securing sponsorships and managing primary sponsor relationships.
Recruit and inspire volunteer committee members, staff, and volunteers to assist with event planning and execution.
Partner with marketing to develop collateral and marketing efforts promoting each fundraising event.
Donor Stewardship:
Develop a comprehensive annual plan to identify, cultivate, engage, and steward donors, motivating giving and deepening relationships.
Personally engage with mid-level donors and sponsors through class observations, meetings, marketing materials, and donor experiences.
Collaborate with the CEO to enhance and manage donor/sponsor stewardship programs.
Identify donor prospects, engage new donors, and grow annual giving revenue through developed strategies.
Assist in developing department procedures and practices to increase efficiency, accuracy of records, and achievement of fund development goals.
Complete donor gift entry and acknowledgement process, ensuring accurate recording, timely acknowledgment, and management of donor records through the Givesmart CRM.
Requirements:
Passion for First Tee – Orange County's mission and ability to link organizational objectives to fund development and donor stewardship goals.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in development, fundraising, and event roles, demonstrating success in similar positions.
Strong planning, project, and time management skills, with established ability to meet deadlines and keep accurate records.
Creative self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, possessing excellent oral and written communication skills.
