As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite and remote service and support to customers. You will also be responsible for providing feedback and service knowledge to other departments to drive improvements and share information on Instrumentations. You will perform service activities at clinical and scientific research sites according to approved written instructions, and documents the activities performed
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
* Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) Instruments according to documented instructions.
* Install and remove NGS Instruments at clinical sites according to documented instructions.
* Document activities, as required.
* Coordinate service activities with site personnel, as needed.
* Provide technical phone support to customers.
* Communicate and help resolve technical issues in preparation for the install of the NGS Instruments.
* Train others to perform servicing activities on NGS Instruments.
* Maintain internal CRM and service systems on a routine basis to track resources, installations, and associated metrics.
* To design strategies and ensure that all day-to-day services have been controlled and that all the clients' needs have been addressed successfully.
* To make recommendations and design policies and rules that will reduce the costs and improve the efficiency of the services.
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
* This position is remote eligible for candidates based in Brazil.
* Service territories cover Brazil and other LATAM countries as needed.
* Travel up to 75% domestic/international.
* You must have a flexible attitude and should be willing to travel at any given point of time.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING US
* 5+ years of field service engineering experience installing and maintaining complex life science equipment (e.g., NGS, qPCR, chromatography, cell analyzers) at customer sites.
* 2+ years of Linux and Windows-based networking installation and troubleshooting.
* You should have excellent time management and organization skills.
* You should be adept at working under stressful work conditions and should have good problem-solving ability.
* You should have good multi-tasking abilities with excellent written and oral communication skills.
* You should be able to identify problems and provide well-defined solutions.
