The Delivery Manager (DM) for Professional Services (PS) Brazil has three primary roles: 1) Delivery of services, 2) Sales support to PS Sales, and 3) Management of consulting personnel. The primary goal of a Regional Delivery Manager is to ensure the successful delivery of PS projects and engagements. The DM assures this by supporting the creation of clearly defined Statements of Work (SOW), with proper estimated level of effort, resulting in billable engagements having mínimal risk and maximum project margin.
The DM will report directly to the PS Sales and Delivery Director and serves as the lead delivery point of contact for the specified region(s) and is responsible for the estimation and scoping of services, approval of contracts for services, delivery of quality services, management of escalations, and accountable for the revenue forecast and profitability of the project portfolio for the region(s).
The DM will have the primary responsibility to ensure quality of delivery across the entire Software AG suite of technology (as well as new product lines released or acquired by Software AG).
The DM should have at least six years’ experience in managing fixed price and Time and Materials projects (experience with Managed Services projects is required) and be comfortable managing multiple engagements, while providing oversight on the remaining portfolio of projects in the region.
The DM is also responsible for direct management of Software AG consultants outside of those on engagements within the DMs region. These consultants are managed by the DM from a career, development and enablement perspective. This entails assessing and developing the skills of the consultant, setting MBOs, mapping out a career path, conducting appraisals and fostering the well-being and engagement of the consultant within Software AG.
The DM provides leadership for the region and for engagements/projects by:
- Estimating for the scope of services, the time frames, costs, and staffing required to deliver the services work, ensuring quality and profitability of the projects in the region
- Serving as 1st level of approval in Global Deal Desk for all deals in the region and responsible for accuracy of project calculation data.
- Aligning with the PS Sales and Delivery Director, managing the revenue forecast and utilization for projects in the project portfolio of the region, including accurately managing the financial and required meta data for the project in the Open Air.
- Managing the project margin ensuring we meet or improve on the sold as project margin.
- Establishing project management and services delivery discipline, ensuring quality of services delivered in the region.
- Adhering to and executing the processes and policies around project implementation and delivery services as dictated by PS Global Operations
- Providing delivery leadership in the specified region, serving as an escalation point to assist and resolve issues within services delivery.
- Managing own assignments (billable and non-billable) as project manager, solution architect, delivering to the requirements of the role being fulfilled
- Providing guidance to other consultants regarding medium to large-sized implementations and retainer projects.
- Developing mentoring relationships with staff personnel.
- Engaging proactively and work as a team player with the licenses team, pre-sales team, technical support and business operations groups (Finance, Administration, HR).
- Can serve as representative of the function of the PS Sales and Delivery Director for PS Delivery Unit Brazil in the region if required
**Qualifications**:
The DM needs to have:

- The ability to be a strong leader, team builder, who is practical and reasonable and known for their professionalism.
- Experience of creating SOWs and project plans for Fixed Price and Time & Material projects for private and government customers.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written communication. English is a requirement.
- The ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of thoughts, plans, activities and process.
- Experience in working within a variety of industries, different size client organizations and projects that span from 1 to 15 people in the range of 1 M EUR in revenue.
- The skills and understanding of the project financial variables such as margin, P&L, revenue recognition, utilization.
- The ability to make and keep commitments, meet schedules and deadlines and complete assignments, projects and goals within the allotted timeframe and budget.
- The ability to properly represent the company and its products; explaining and expressing facts about the company in a confident and convincing manner.
