If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.We are looking for innovative engineers who have knowledge in Automotive Electrical Architecture focusing on Embedded SW deployment to the real truck, who are also interested and acquainted with Electrical Hardware and committed to quality, customer centricity and Agile mindset.Your future teamIn Vehicle Engineering E&E (Electrical and Electronics) Department, you will be part of an Agile Team and immersed in a dynamic work environment, delivering Electrical Solutions for Volvo Transport Systems.The ECSI (Electrical Components, System and SW Implementation) team has engineers who are responsible for planning, designing and executing activities related to the local products in Brazil, and supporting other sites such as USA, Sweden and France.The team will also start supporting the troubleshooting of Battery electrical trucks, and interfacing as Front Desk with the other cross-functional teams towards global owners of the system.What you will doCoordinate the software implementation by collaborating with the Vehicle Software Factory Department, which verifies and validates the SW and overall system baseline, to track software maturity and the timing for safe updates to the trucks.Additionally, support the confirmation that the software baselines produced meet the desired Vehicle verification and validation plan, ensuring coverage of truck variants and implemented customer features.Be connected to the SW and HW development teams, and by using your system knowledge perspective, establish means of securing the truck conformity, and prepare needed infrastructure and tools to do so.
As well as be in touch with the trucks, performing software breakdown and download, leading troubleshoot and root cause analysis, and making sure the trucks can be driven on public roads.It is also expected flexibility to work with Components and System when required.
Concerning that, a willingness to learn is a must, and having such competence is a plus.Who are you?Relevant Experience and competences:• Applicants shall have an Engineering degree in Electrical / Electronics, Mechatronics or other equivalent experience.• Knowledge of Automotive protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN and Ethernet.• Experience with Automotive Electro-electronics Systems, HWs and SW.• Knowledge of ECU topologies, electro-electronics architecture and ECU synoptics to perform software download and upload.• Sense of responsibility and ownership.• Proficiency in English for a multicultural immersion.• Effective communication and good organization for leading team activities.• Good critical and analytical mind.• Driver license B with the possibility to get C or D license.Meritorious to have:• Background as Automotive System Engineer.• Electronic and Electrical Components development competence.• Knowledge of Electric Vehicles, with focus mainly in propulsion.• ASPICE Knowledge.• Driver License C, D or.Ready for the next move?If you want to make a real impact in your career, the transportation business is where you want to be.
