About the Role - Team Leadership & Management Lead and mentor a flexible team of remote contract developers across multiple time zonesEstablish development standards, best practices, and coding guidelinesManage team capacity, scaling the team up or down based on project demandsCoordinate with product management to establish delivery timelines and resource requirementsConduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to team members Technical Architecture & Development Own the front-end technical architecture, ensuring consistency across all web propertiesDrive TypeScript adoption and implementation across the platformEstablish and maintain development standards for responsive, mobile-first designOptimize page load performance and implement performance monitoringIntegrate server-side rendering solutions for SEO optimizationManage the implementation and evolution of our component libraryPartner with Data team to implement analytics solutions (likely Mixpanel)Ensure comprehensive analytics tracking across all user interactionsCollaborate with back-end team to identify and request API enhancements CMS Leadership Own and architect our headless CMS implementation (likely Strapi or Keystone JS)Design content models that support our marketing and operational needsEstablish content governance and management processesEnsure CMS security and performanceIntegrate CMS with our front-end architecture Project Management Partner with project managers in sprint planning and prioritization exercisesLead sprint ceremonies for the front-end team while coordinating with Kanban-based back-end teamCollaborate with product managers to define technical requirements and timelinesEstablish project tracking and reporting processesEnsure consistent delivery quality across all team membersManage technical documentation and knowledge sharingBalance team capacity across sprint commitmentsCoordinate cross-team dependencies between sprint and Kanban workflows Qualifications: Experience - 5+ years of front-end development experience, 3+ years of team management experience, particularly with remote/distributed teams, Strong experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and front-end frameworks, Experience with headless CMS architecture and implementation, Experience with SEO optimization and server-side rendering, Experience implementing and managing analytics solutions, Experience coordinating cross-team dependencies, Experience managing offshore development teams in India or Latin America (preferred), Experience with EJS templating (preferred), Experience with e-commerce or booking systems (preferred) Skills and Abilities - Proven track record of delivering high-performance web applications, Proven success in Agile environments, particularly with sprint management, Excellent communication skills and experience working across time zones, Familiarity with React and component library development (preferred), Knowledge of health/wellness industry (preferred), Experience with Agile development methodologies (preferred) Technical Skills - TypeScript/JavaScript, React, EJS, HTML5/CSS3, REST APIs, Git, Headless CMS platforms, Performance monitoring tools, SEO best practices
