We are looking for a highly-motivated, innovative and results-oriented Sr. Sports Brand/Communication Manager to join the team, and help grow our business. The role will focus on the marketing and planning of our key Sports offering, such as Brasileirão, Copa do Brazil and NBA. This role will span co-ordination across a wide-range of cross functional teams and external partners which will include vendors, production companies and advertising agencies. You will be a successful marketer that delivers results and have worked within the sports, media or entertainment industry.
You will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have proven experience planning and executing marketing campaigns across big cross functional teams. The ideal candidate will be comfortable negotiating with key business partners and global Amazon teams to gain alignment on marketing plans and ultimately manage all aspects of the project execution. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is able to prioritize and deliver on deadlines with minimal supervision, has the ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others and drive results.
Seeking a bias-for-action leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, leveraging both creativity and analytics to drive measurable results, while demonstrating the agility of a startup mindset and the discipline of an enterprise operator.
Key job responsibilities
1. Lead campaign strategy and execution for Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, and NBA tournaments for the Brazilian market, serving as the primary point of contact for global collaborations
2. Develop and implement comprehensive sports communication campaigns, including match-specific, evergreen, and multi-property initiatives
3. Manage agency relationships, including briefings and ongoing coordination
4. Create and oversee project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery within approved scope
5. Design and develop strategic approaches for creative, media, and social content initiatives, providing direction to functional teams
6. Foster cross-functional collaboration to maximize synergies across media, social, creative, and PR teams
7. Establish marketing objectives in partnership with media teams (including GRP and Weekly Reach targets), social media, and PR departments
8. Conduct audience segmentation analysis using internal tools and external research to inform creative and media strategies
9. Collaborate with Consumer Insights and Worldwide Sports Strategy teams on research initiatives for sports product expansion, focusing on key metrics such as awareness and intent
10. Lead experiential marketing and event planning initiatives in coordination with social, PR, and creative teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of time zones and languages
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
